Android Police has a report on the Galaxy Observe 10 that Samsung followers in all probability will not be pleased with. David Ruddock claims the Galaxy Observe 10 will probably be Samsung’s first flagship to take away the headphone jack, taking one of many final wired audio choices off the flagship market.
Samsung is not simply stripping away the headphone jack, although; the report claims the telephone can even lack bodily buttons. The quantity rocker, energy button, and Bixby button “will probably be changed by capacitive or pressure-sensitive areas, doubtless highlighted by some type of raised ‘bump’ and/or texture alongside the sting,” in line with the report. That is one thing we have seen HTC do with the U12+ final 12 months.
Bodily buttons could be a failure level for a telephone. The cutouts weaken the case and make gadgets extra prone to bending. Plus, like a headphone jack, they’re an ingress level for mud and water. Nonetheless, Samsung was capable of rating an IP68 water and mud resistance score on the Galaxy S10 with each of those options.
The final tidbit from the report is the information that the Galaxy Observe 10 will are available in two sizes. Search for a launch someday round August.
With Samsung bowing out of the marketplace for headphone jack customers, that would depart the LG G8 as just about the one flagship smartphone that also has a headphone jack. There’s at all times a dongle, we suppose.
