TAG Heuer celebrated its new boutique opening in Aventura Mall with model ambassador and artwork provocateur, Alec Monopoly. The coveted graffiti artist first partnered with the timepiece model in 2016 as an envoy and was later appointed Artwork Creator in 2017 at Miami’s Modern Artwork Week. All the time one step forward of his time, Monopoly has created a number of watches with TAG Heuer impressed by his personal highly-renowned art work. Haute Time caught up with Alec Monopoly on the model’s unique opening of its new boutique the place the artist dished on his most memorable experiences, favourite timepiece and extra.

Haute Time: You’ve been an envoy for the model for a number of years, what about it drew you to companion up with them and what synergies do you see between your model and theirs?
Alec Monopoly: This model is accessible to millennials, the worth level makes it accessible to millennials and they’re a giant a part of my fanbase. TAG Heuer is a global model and my art work is conceived worldwide and so it really works rather well collectively between my model and TAG.

HT: What are a few of your favourite timepieces from the model that you just personal?
AM: I must say my signature piece. The Carrera Calibre Heuer01 is my favourite timepiece.
HT: What have you ever realized about watchmaking via your partnership with TAG Heuer?
AM: I’ve realized that it’s truly very advanced and arduous. These guys have extraordinarily regular palms, even steadier than mine and I’ve a fairly regular hand. It’s loopy how they put all of the items collectively and create such nice timepieces.

HT: What are some cool parts of the new boutique at Aventura Mall?
AM: It’s cool as a result of I truly store at [Aventura Mall] loads. It’s probably the greatest malls in Miami so it’s nice to have an entry level right here and I’m positive everybody that outlets right here as properly will be capable to say the identical. It’s good to have TAG Heuer each at [this location] and likewise within the Miami Design District.
