Massive Ass Seaside Hoagie – Bon Appetit
Chilly cuts, giardiniera, and Italian bread – oh my. As a local of the good metropolis of Philadelphia, do not suppose that I am exaggerating after I say that hoagies are part of my cultural id. A summer season journey “down the shore” would not be full with out a cease at Wawa (or your native hoagie/cheesesteak/pizza joint) to refill on Herr’s potato chips, Iced Tea Lemonade, and some hoagies. However for all that New York has to supply, this metropolis merely lacks within the hoagie division… Fortunately, the nice people over at Bon Appetit know what’s up. They’ve put collectively a recipe for the right seashore hoagie, reminding us that we need not make a pilgrimage to PA or NJ to relish (unhealthy sandwich joke) the right mixture of cured meats, spicy greens, mayo, and summertime.
