Introducing: The TAG Heuer Monaco 1989-1999 Restricted Version (Stay Pics & Pricing)
Thus far each iterations of the Monaco within the 50th anniversary sequence has featured a dial end that is significantly experimental, with a Côtes de Genève-looking end on the ’69-’79 version and a sunray dial on the latest launch. This one is maybe the wildest but, with a grain to the dial that begs you to try to stick your thumb by way of the crystal to the touch it. It is visually attention-grabbing as a design ingredient, and I hope to see it included into different watches as nicely. The neat factor concerning the Monaco is the sq. form permits for loads of floor space on the dial to showcase the end. To me, it appears nearly just like the grain of ceramic coating on headers, and even the grainy end discovered on an unpolished valve cowl. With this grainy texture and the livery-like use of accent colours, this version ties the Monaco to its racing roots in a extremely neat manner.
