A SEAL NEVER QUITS

An area veterinarian is caught up within the hazard of an undercover
Navy SEAL operation on this romantic suspense novel.

Anya Gutierrez is sort of conversant in ranching and taking care
of cattle. When a gaggle of six mysterious males transfer onto a ranching property in
Hebbronville, Texas, Anya extends her assist for the upcoming calving season.
Amador “Stryker” Salas is aware of little about cattle, and, although he’s cautious of Anya
poking across the ranch, he is aware of he’ll must play up his disguise as a
retired bull rider–turned-rancher. The
attraction between them is instantaneous regardless of Stryker’s efforts to stay
non-public. When the SEALs’ mission takes them into Mexico to disrupt terrorist
exercise, the hazard quickly follows them again onto U.S. soil, placing Anya’s life
in jeopardy. Anya and Stryker fall in love slightly shortly; their intimate
scenes are damaged up by sophisticated livestock births, task debriefings,
and a kidnapping. The six Navy SEALs, all residing collectively on one ranch, create
a testosterone-laden, hypermasculine fraternity environment. With Stryker’s
added obsession with Anya’s virginity, referring to it as “the best present”
and even thanking Anya for “gifting” her physique, the guide feels archaic. A contemporary
romance this isn’t. Plenty of time is spent introducing the community of cartel
characters and the SEALs’ internet of contacts, leaving Anya’s background as a
veterinarian who proudly owns her personal clinic unexplored. Extra of a love letter
to the army, patriotism, and ranching communities, this fails as a romance
and leaves the heroine to easily turn out to be the set off for the hero’s protecting
instincts. Anya lacks company and disappointingly performs the pawn in good versus
unhealthy, the place solely males pull the strings.

A slew of pointless issues additional muddies an already
weird romantic setup.
