Ludovic Rohrer
Rohrer lives in Geneva, Switzerland, and has a powerful resume filled with well-known watch manufacturers. He at present works for Cabestan Watches and in his spare time is creating an incredible motion. He began the work in 2010 by retrofitting an ETA 6497 motion with a tourbillon. Now, Rohrer’s motion comprises a Gafner system tourbillon. This tourbillon shows useless seconds, whereas the rementoir supplies fixed torque to the stability. It does this with a sophisticated escape wheel that features a Reuleaux triangle, rementoir spring, 15 tooth lever escape wheel, and a customized three tooth escape wheel, all co-axially mounted. As well as, the motion options leaping digital time indication, and date, displayed on clear (sapphire?) discs. Completely spectacular work, that appears like it’s nearing completion.
