Fingers-On: The Seiko Prospex SNJ029 Photo voltaic Diver

I’ve a confession to make: I’ve by no means seen Predator. Or Commando, for that matter. Take away my man card and name me a Communist, I simply did not watch lots of motion movies within the 1980s, though I used to be a red-blooded American teenager when these films got here out, nor have I had a want since. Again then, I used to be both studying about adventures within the jungle, the desert, on the Poles, or below the ocean, or I used to be out within the woods with my buddies having adventures of my very own. And I at all times needed a giant watch. All of the cool explorers within the magazines and on TV wore large watches. It was a logo of excessive journey, derring-do, and uncooked functionality. No nameless lozenge-shaped related watches in these days. It was all large divers, principally Seikos, Residents, and the odd Rolex, bristling with buttons and sub-dials and saw-tooth bezels. In highschool, I saved up for, and acquired, a Pepsi-bezel Seiko diver. My greatest good friend had an analog-digital Citizen Aqualand. We had been our personal motion heroes.
